Dee has worked with dogs for over a decade, supporting both dogs and their guardians through behaviour, training and enrichment.
Her journey into behaviour began while working with one of the UK's largest dog charities, where her in-depth understanding of canine behaviour first developed.
Dee holds a Bachelor's Degree with Honours in Canine Behaviour Mangement from the University of Hull and continues to expand her knowledge through ongoing learning and practical experience. Dee is an Advanced ACE Tutor as well as a member of the UK Dog Behaviour & Training Charter and is committed to ethical, welfare - focused practice.
Dee takes a holistic approach to behaviour and training, combining her knowledge with the principles of Animal Centred Education (ACE) to understand the emotional, physical and environmental factors influencing behaviour. Much of Dee's philosophy has been shaped by the dogs in her own life, particularly her soul dog Winnie, who taught her the importance of slowing down, observing carefully and truly listening to what dogs are communicating.
Cairo is a Miniature Poodle who didn't have the best start in life, having been rescued from a puppy farm. A sensitive soul himself, Cairo has become a wonderful teacher. He has helped many dogs who struggle around other dogs, by showing calm and gentle communication. Cairo also reminds us everyday day, that being different is okay.
Nellie is the newest member of the RD family. A Springer Spaniel with a huge zest for life, Nellie brings energy, curiosity and plenty of fun. Nellie is on her own training journey as she grows alongside Cairo, she too helps support our clients and their dogs. Reminding us all that learning should always include adventure and fun.
