Your Journey with RD

Your Journey

At Redefined Dog our work is centered on helping dogs and their guardians better understand each other. Many of the dogs we work with are sensitive, overwhelmed, or experiencing big feelings in the world around them. Because of this, our support is always calm, thoughtful and tailored to the individual dog and guardian. Rather that offering quick fixes, we focus on building understanding, confidence and connection over time.

Every journey looks a little different, but is often begins with behaviour support.

Behaviour Support

For many dogs, support begins with an initial behavioural assessment. This allows us to explore your dog's history, environment and current challenges. We take time to look at the whole dog - including emotional wellbeing, physical comfort, daily routines and enrichment. This helps us start to understand what your dog may be communicating through their behaviours.

From there we work together through follow-up sessions, building practical strategies that help both dog and guardian move forward with greater confidence and understanding.

Every Dog is different, and support is always tailored to the individual

Continuing the Journey

As dogs begin to grow in confidence and understanding, many guardians choose to continue their journey with additional support. Training walks allow us to work together in real-world environments where different challenges may occur. These sessions provide guidance and support as dogs practicenew experiences out in the world.

Training walks may focus on areas such as:

  • Reactivity towards dogs, people or vehicles
  • Building confidence outdoors
  • Strengthening the connection between dog and guardian

Some dogs need a little extra support in the world, and we understand that life can be busy, which can make it hard to keep up with training plans. Trainer-Led Walks allow me to work directly with your dog, supporting their confidence, skills and emotional wellbeing in environments they find difficult, while helping to support the progress we are making together.

Connection Walks

Connection Walks are small, guided walks designed to support dogs and their guardians in exploring the world together. These walks focus on slowing down, observing our dogs and allowing them the space to move, communicate and learn alongside one another in a calm and supportive environment. Rather than simply walking side by side, Connection Walks help guardians develop a deeper understanding of their dogs body language, needs and communication. Connection Walks are suitable for dogs who have completed their behaviour support sessions and are ready to practicingcalm experiences around other dogs in real world environments.

When we slow down and truly observe our dogs, Connection naturally flows.

Walks & Pet Care

For many guardians of sensitive dogs, finding suitable care can be difficult. Because we build up a relationship and understanding with the dogs we work with, we are able to offer walks and pet care for dogs who have or are undertaking behaviour support sessions with Redefined Dog. This allows us to provide care that respects each dogs individual needs and helps them feel safe and supported.
